Manners Lodge
Manners Lodge is suitable for Cub Scout Pack Holidays, Winter Camps, and Training Courses and is ideal for a central base for larger camps and events. It can accommodate up to 36 people.
It has a well equipped kitchen with crockery, pots and pans and cutlery all provided. The kitchen has a water heater, two cookers, fridge, freezer, microwave and ample cupboards for food storage. The building is equipped with double glazing to help keep the warmth in.
Gas and electricity is supplied for cooking and heating. It has internal male and female toilets and ample grass areas are available for games or for additional camping if required.
Each bedroom is equipped with either six or eight bunk beds with mattresses and each room also has a heater and a nightlight. The main hall has a dry-wipe board available for training chairs and tables are provided. All equipment is provided for internal use only.
The lobby area features coat hooks and storage for outdoor shoes and additional area for storage of games equipment that you may bring with you. Manners Lodge is equipped with a fully-automatic fire detection system.
Please ensure indoor shoes are worn only in the building as this helps to keep the carpeted floor clean and tidy. Cleaning equipment is provided to ensure the building is left suitable for the next Group.
Manners Lodge features a disabled ramp outside to allow easy use of the accommodation.
Georges Den
George's Den is suitable for Patrol, small troop or pack camps. It has also proved popular being used for a centralised cooking facility with camping adjacent for busy groups. It can accommodate up to 14 people.
It has a small fully equipped kitchen with crockery, pots and pans and cutlery all provided. The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, microwave, hot water and ample cupboards for storing all your food. George's Den has gas and electricity for cooking and heating and an internal toilet. Ample grass areas are available for games and activities or for additional camping if required.
It has two bedrooms each with six bunk beds with mattresses and a leader’s room with two bunk beds and mattresses. The main hall has adequate lighting and chairs and tables are provided for internal use only. Please try to keep the floor clean and tidy. Cleaning equipment is provided to ensure the Den is left suitable for the next Group.
