Facilities
Braggers Wood is pleased to offer the following facilities to all Campers:
Altar Fires and Grills - Are available for use on your site for backwards cooking and fires.
Anchor Chapel - Is a located in a quite and peaceful area.
Calor Gas / Camping Gaz - available via the Shop during opening hours or from the Warden.
Camp Fire Circle - Our sunken circle creates a unique atmosphere.
Disabled Toilet Facilities - available in the Office side toilet block
First Aid Facilities - our first aid room is available to all campers. Includes a first aid fridge for medicines.
Fridges/Freezer for food storage - a large fridge and small freezers are available for all to use in the main foyer located in the main office block. Please ensure food etc is marked with group name and is properly wrapped.
Fully Stocked Shop - Open daily, the shop has a fine selection of sweets, chocolate and drinks as well as spares for camping and an excellent selection of souvenirs
Local Doctor and Local Hospitals - several hospitals and local doctors at about 15 minutes away at most.
Male and Female Flushing Toilets - Two blocks available to all users with flushing cubicles, urinals and wash basins with hot and cold running water
Male and Female Hot Showers - these showers are provided free of charge and are available 24 hours (unless cleaning/maintenance is taking place)
Parking for coaches and cars - two areas of parking exist for cars and coaches
Rubbish disposal and recycling - Full recycling facilities are available together with large bins for any other waste. Please recycle as much waste as possible.
Water points - Dotted at convenient points around the site are various water taps for the collection of water. Please do not waste water.
Wood Supplies (when possible) - a wood-pile does exist but is limited. On no account should trees be cut down or burned from the forest woodland surrounding Braggers Wood. Dead wood may be picked up and used.
